Rythu Bharosa Scheme

Telangana Rythu Bharosa scheme launched by the Congress Government of Telangana aims to financially help farmers in agricultural or related fields.There are many benefits included under the Rythu Bharosa scheme.

According to the scheme every year, farmers and tenant farmers( farmers who farm rented land) will get 15000 Rs per acre.

Agriculture laborers will get 12000 Rs.

And a bonus of 500 Rs especially for paddy crop is also included under the scheme as an added benefit.

Highlights

The Rythu Bharosa scheme was one of the schemes under the Congress Manifesto during the Telangana Assembly Elections 2023.

This is the only scheme introduced under Congress Manifesto to provide support for farmers.

This scheme will be launched in the state as soon as as possible, and the application date will be declared.

Including tenant farmers in the scheme is a major milestone for this scheme.

The Rythu Bharosa scheme may seem similar to some of the schemes introduced by the central government namely, the PM Kisan Scheme.

Introduction

As per an estimation Telangana has 1.43 crore acres of agricultural land and 58.33 lakhs of farmers. That means around 55% of total population in Telangana will depend on agriculture to earn their living. Therefore Rythu Bharosa scheme is a major scheme that farmers in Telangana are looking forward to and as stated above majority of the population will be benefited from the scheme.

Since most of the farmers in Telangana are small and marginal, the financial assistance provided by the Rythu Bharosa scheme will support the farm investment and a 500 Rs extra for paddy crop because it is a major crop of India and most of the farmers grow paddy in their fields to earn their living.

• Income certificate
• proof of agricultural land
• Passport size photographs
• Bank details
• Crop sold proof especially for paddy to get special benefits

These documents originals and photocopies must be kept ready to get the benefits, if all the criteria are met the cash benefit will be directly transferred to the beneficiary account every year.

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicant must be a resident of Telangana
• The applicant must hold the ownership of the land or if he is the tenant farmer he has to hold the authority proof from the original land owner to be the tenant.
• The applicant must have an agriculture labor card to get cash benefits for agricultural laborers
• The applicant must have the crop sold proof.
