Telangana – 500 Rs LPG cylinder eligibility criteria and rules

Today the Telangana government released 500 Rs LPG cylinder eligibility criteria under the Mahalakshmi scheme. from today the scheme is going to be active for all the eligible users of the Telangana state.

Since the initiation of the government, the Congress party has already provided two schemes and now they are implementing their 3rd scheme which is 500 rupees LPG cylinder under Mahalakshmi Scheme.

But for the past several days people of Telangana have been confused about the eligibility criteria of the Mahalakshmi Scheme and its sub-schemes It is 500 rupees LPG cylinder but the government has issued an official order sanctioning Mahalakshmi Yojana.

  • The beneficiary should apply for a Rs 500 LPG cylinder under the Mahalakshmi scheme in the Praja Palana Application.
  • Beneficiaries should be white ration card holders in Telangana state to get Rs 500 LPG gas cylinders of Mahalakshmi schemes.
  • The government has ordered that only consumers can get LPG cylinders based on the average consumption of cylinders for their families in the last three years.

How to get 500 rupees LPG gas cylinder

  • The beneficiary has to pay the full amount of the current price of the LPG cylinder to the oil marketing companies.
  • Once after the user receives the LPG cylinder they will get the subsidy amount directly into their bank account. For this, the Telangana government will advance the required amount to the oil marketing companies on a monthly basis.
  • The oil marketing companies will transfer the subsidy amount to the beneficiary through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
